I'm not that big on this show, not like I used to be, but I started this thread for the benefit of other people who might actually like it. I stopped watching it after season 2 because I couldn't understand why people were only watching it due to the fact that the guys were hot. Okay, the guys are hot. Big deal. My character in my stories speaks her mind, despite being shy. (I wrote a spin-off of the series, with an unknown third character, my part, the long-lost sister, Sen Winchester, who has been living with demons her whole life.) She and her brothers are The Supernatural Ones, which is where the title of the show comes from. They fight demons as a witchy trio called the Power of Three. (Think "Charmed" meets "Supernatural.") Again, feel free to post here if you're a fan; everyone is entitled to an opinion and I'm only being fair.

I am an avid fan of "Supernatural," and I just wanted to make a point about this post. It's okay if you don't like the show; I'm fine with that, and you can express your opinion however you wish. The only thing is, and I know I probably can't speak for the other fans, but in my personal opinion, "Supernatural" is not all about the guys. Yes, they are handsome, and yes, people do notice, but it's not the only reason I watch it. I watch it for the story; there's so much to it and a lot of interesting things happen on it. Even if the guys weren't nearly as handsome as they are, it wouldn't stop me from tuning in every week. Again, I am not criticizing anybody here. It just bothers me a little bit that someone would think so negatively about this show because fans admire Dean and Sam. It's not only about looks. The idea for your show sounds interesting, though. Have you thought about sending it in? And why write about it if you don't even watch it? Please respect the idea that this show isn't always about how hot the guys are. I'm sure most other fans will say the same thing. I hope there are more people out there who are taking heed to this situation, and that all fans and especially the CW should continue to support our favorite show for as long as it takes. I am not attempting to sound shallow here, but I do want to see it continue through season 4.

I watched a couple episodes of Supernatural, but I found out later that I couldn't really get into it. It reminded me too much of one of my old favorite shows, "The X-Files," and now I realize I'm going to miss X-Files terribly now that it's off the air. Can't wait to see the new movie! So what's the big deal with the hot guys? I never really noticed.

I am with you all the way on that one, Simone! "Supernatural" IS too much like "X-Files;" in fact, it's almost a rip-off. At least in my opinion it is. And, samforever, I'm sorry I offended you; it's just that the attention these guys are getting just for their hot bodies and whatever else is sickening. Maybe it isn't always about their looks like you said, and I know I must never make assumptions. It only seems like it's about their looks because of the way the female fans behave. There are pictures everywhere of Dean and Sam, and they either say "sexy" or "hot." "Orange just got sexy." Whoo-hoo. *sarcastic tone*

Okay, does anyone have anything POSITIVE to say about this show? Why is this topic even here? It seems all you guys are doing is bickering. We have at least one fan who posted and they aren't even a member of this site. What is it with people and looks? Does it have to be about how someone looks? I've watched this show several times and I don't see anything wrong with it. What, so you want to cancel it and take it off the air? Leave the judging behind and let me believe what I want to believe! I like "Supernatural" and it's going to stay that way. Judging the stars just by how they look, or judging a show simply by how its stars look sounds stereotypical. This is a topic for FANS to post in, and if you guys really don't like it, then stay out of this board. Grow up, people!

I'm not really familiar on what everyone is talking about exactly, because from what I've read, it sounds like there's something different coming out of everyone in regards to watching this program. The number one thing I'll say is that in defense of Miss Severus, it sounds like what she means is that people are sounding a bit too shallow when it comes to idolizing the two lead actors. To me, it appears that a lot of these fans are young and immature, and so they're 'judging' their interest in the show in the only way they know how to: by looking. Maybe many of them are teenage girls who still have a lot of growing up to do, i.e. once they get old enough, they will look back on themselves and laugh, realizing how dumb they must have sounded. Minerva, I agree with you when you say, 'grow up, people,' and I also agree with you in saying that people are definitely being shallow as to say they don't like a show just by how its leads physically appear to the masses. However, Miss Severus is stating an important point about why she dislikes Supernatural, and no one can really get angry at her by being honest. (One thing is: I know her personally.) Society has become extremely shallow and transparent, especially in the media, and the main reason for that is because of the poor role modeling in this country.
