I love the movies, and I have to say I read the books AFTER I saw the films! Grrrrr! Bad idea! But I read all the books and got through them, and of course, there was so much more happening than in the movies. 'Return of the King' was the best movie by far, however. I read the prequel, 'The Hobbit', before I saw any movies, which was a lot better because I could picture Gollum and Bilbo in my own way. J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis were buddies; they exchanged story ideas in a bar.

I knew that Lewis and Tolkien were friends because their stories are so similar to one another. Both had great imaginations and loved to exchange different ideas to one another. I recently read The Hobbit and I liked it, although the English was kind of hard to understand at times.
